| Overview of an Estate Sale "Auction vs. Tag" |
An Estate Auction offers the liquidation of partial or entire contents of a home. The "Auction" style utilizes the "live sale" platform - whereas, the "Tag" style utilizes the tagging of items/property at a predetermined price, established by the Auction Company. |
| The details of a "Auction" style are as follows: |
 |
The items are cataloged and then displayed in your home, without price tags. |
 |
In certain situations, smaller items may be separated into "lots" for a more effective sale - larger items are usually sold as a single lot. |
 |
A public preview is conducted (time frame is determined by yourself and our Team) where potential buyers are able to inspect the items prior to bidding |
 |
A"live" auction of the items is conducted by our Auctioneer |
| The details of a "Tag" style are as follows: |
 |
The items are inventoried and then displayed in your home, with price tags. |
 |
The sale is conducted for multiple days, with discounts usually being offered on the last day of the sale |
At Sharp & Associates Auctions, we are sensitive to the fact that people could be understandably apprehensive about having their home (or the home of a loved one) open to the public. Each and everyone of our clients have our assurance that the personal items they desire to sell will be liquidated in a caring, professional, worry-free manner. Our goal is to make comfortable during this possibly emotional time.
Our service begins with a FREE "in-home" visit to perform an evaluation. This evaluation is an honest and candid assessment of the estate, so that an informed decision can be made about which type of Estate sale is best suited to your personal needs. In doing so, we can conduct a sale that produces the highest profit margin.
Once Sharp & Associates Auctions is hired to conduct an Estate Sale, we begin preparing the items by determining the best price, at a fair market value**. We advertise your Sale on our website, other internet sites, as well as placing ads in local newspapers. We also distribute a monthly email notification. In addition, we advertise the day of the sale with highly visible "on-site" signs, which include detailed directions to the location. In doing so, we are able to generate the highest number of potential buyers as possible.
On the day of the sale, we attractively display the items for maximum exposure, and handle every customer from "early-birds" to "stragglers" in the same professional manner. We not only "ready" the house for the sale, but we also "tidy up" once the sale has ended. All items are removed and the area is "broom cleaned" or vacuumed.
In reference to the items that don't sell during a "Tag" sale, their are several options. We can personally assist you with packing your unsold items, donating them to charity (in your name) or we can auction them off "on the spot."
Whether it's downsizing, relocation out of town, or handling a loved one's belongings - Sharp & Associates Auctions Estate Team will provide you with caring, quality & professional management of your sale.

| Professional Service, Profitable Sales! |
** Fair Market Value - The price that an interested, but not desperate buyer would be willing to pay - and an interested but not desperate seller would be willing to accept on the open market. Allowing for a reasonable period of time for an agreement to be established.
Sharp & Associates will help you determine if an Estate Sales is the answer to your liquidation needs. We would be happy to personally meet with you and review your property to determine which is the best method to conduct your sale. There is no obligation - however don't sell yourself short without consulting with us first! |
